Strategic Branding and Website Design for a Female Career Coach: A Case Study

If you're a bold, driven woman building a business that breaks the mould, this one’s for you.

Working with Faye Hatton on her branding and website was one of those ‘hell yes’ projects from the very start! She’s not just a coach, she’s a movement. And her brand needed to match that energy: unapologetically bold, beautifully intentional and built for real impact.

Let’s take a closer look at how we brought her brand to life.

The client: meet Faye Hatton

Faye is a business coach for ambitious single parents and untamed individuals who want to live, work and grow on their own terms. With a background in the fast-paced, male-dominated world of Automotive PR, she knows exactly how to stand her ground - and how to help others rewrite their stories.

Strong, self-led, unfiltered (in the best way!) Faye’s brand needed to reflect the duality she brings: structure and softness, confidence and connection.

The brief

Faye came to me with a clear vision: she wanted a brand and website that felt bold and alive, something that captured the duality of her work: strong structure and human connection, confidence and vulnerability, masculine energy and feminine grace.

She didn’t want to blend in - and honestly? She shouldn’t.

The creative direction: editorial meets minimal

We landed on a concept that blended two distinct visual routes:

Editorial edge – bold typography, striking layouts and storytelling energy
Minimalist elegance – clean structure, handwritten touches and warm, intentional design

The result? A bold yet minimal identity balancing precision with personality. The brand feels confident and dynamic, mirroring Faye’s mission - strategic and striking, but always human.

The brand identity

We developed a strong, strategic visual identity with key elements designed to symbolise Faye’s mission and energy:

  • Typography: Clean, bold sans-serif type to create confident structure, layered with elegant, hand-drawn annotations and scribbles to represent fluidity, individuality and the process of rewriting your story.

  • Colour palette: An editorial-inspired mix of charcoal, black, and off-white, brought to life with bold pops of kingfisher blue and tan leather.

  • Details: From loops inspired by Faye’s curls to textured editorial motifs, every element was considered. This brand was made to feel lived-in, layered and entirely her.

The website design

The website was designed to be clear, high-converting and full of energy. We incorporated:

  • Bold, animated headings and text overlays that echo editorial annotations and keep the user engaged

  • Dynamic movement in photography and video to showcase Faye’s personality and elevate her brand presence (beautifully captured by Ana Franz Photography)

  • User-friendly layout and structure, guiding visitors clearly through her offerings and story

  • SEO strategy baked in, so her message reaches the right people and drives meaningful traffic

It’s a site that doesn’t just look good, it works hard behind the scenes, too.

The outcome

Since launch, Faye’s brand has felt like an extension of her voice and vision. It’s powerful. It’s magnetic. And it’s strategically designed to support her growth.

Here’s what she had to say:

While we were working together, it genuinely felt like Tamsin was fully invested in helping me succeed. She went above and beyond to deliver, and I truly believe that support will continue as my business grows. It’s reassuring to know she’s there if new products or ideas come up — like having a trusted creative partner on hand.
