Working with Monroe Creative
-
A few things… I work exclusively with female founders and female-serving brands, which means I understand your world, your clients and what you're building in a way a ‘generalist’ designer simply can't.
I've also built four luxury brands of my own, including a six-figure business stocked by Fortnum & Mason. So when I talk about the gap between a vision and a brand that reflects it, I'm speaking from experience.
And unlike many designers, every project includes a full brand strategy as standard. That's the research, positioning and direction-setting that happens before anything is designed - and it's what makes the difference between a brand that looks beautiful and one that actually works.
-
I work exclusively with female founders and female-serving brands. My clients typically fall into two groups: established founders who have outgrown their current brand and are ready for a premium, strategic rebrand, and emerging founders who want a professional brand identity without the full custom timeline or investment.
-
Yes, absolutely! I'm based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire and work with female founders across the UK and internationally. Everything we do together happens online, so location is never a barrier.
-
A small number, deliberately. Working with fewer clients at once means every project gets my full attention, care and creative energy and it's part of why the experience feels the way it does.
-
Yes, every custom project begins with a free Consultation - a relaxed, no-obligation conversation where we explore your business, your goals and whether working together is the right fit for both of us. You can book yours via the consultation page.
-
Yes, and I’ll tell you why this is important. Squarespace Circle membership means I have early access to new features and releases before they're available to the public, direct access to Squarespace's priority support team and ongoing training on the platform. Your website will always be built to the most current standard.
Brand design
-
Brand design is the process of creating a visual identity for your business - your logo, colour palette, typography, brand marks and the guidelines that hold it all together. But at the level I work, it's much more than aesthetics. It's a strategic exercise that defines how your business is perceived, who it attracts and how confidently you can show up and charge what you're worth.
A well-designed brand isn't just something that looks good - it works for your business every single day.
-
Brand strategy is the research, thinking and direction-setting that happens before a single visual is created. It's how we get under the skin of your audience, define your positioning within your market and establish what makes your brand unmistakably you.
Many brand designers don't include strategy at all but at Monroe Creative, it's included as standard in every custom project - because without it, design is just decoration.
-
Graphic design typically refers to individual creative assets - a social media post, a flyer, a presentation. Brand design is holistic and strategic because it starts with research and positioning work long before any visual is created, and the result is a complete, cohesive identity that works consistently across every touchpoint of your business.
-
Custom brand design at Monroe Creative starts from £1,950. This includes a full brand strategy, a completely bespoke visual identity, all file formats and brand guidelines. The investment reflects the depth of strategic and creative expertise involved, and the long-term value a strong brand brings to your business.
For the most complete experience, the total transformation package (brand and website designed together) starts from £4,100 - a saving of £300 compared to booking separately.
-
Custom brand design projects typically take 6 to 8 weeks from start date to launch.
-
Completely! No templates and no shortcuts. Every brand identity is created entirely from first principles, rooted in the strategy we develop specifically for your business. Your brand will be yours alone.
-
Yes, I can work with you to refresh or build on what you already have. Get in touch to chat about where you are and what you need.
-
I don't offer standalone logo design. A logo alone can't carry the strategy, clarity or consistency required at the premium level. My branding work always focuses on the full identity and positioning - because that's what actually moves your business forward.
-
If your current brand no longer reflects where your business is, is attracting the wrong clients or makes you hesitate before sending someone to your website, you're probably ready. If there's a gap between how good your business actually is and how it presents to the outside world, that's the signal.
Website design
-
A custom Monroe Creative website includes a 1:1 vision and strategy call, a fully bespoke website built from scratch on Squarespace (no templates), my website copywriting and SEO guide, full platform training and two weeks of post-launch support. Visually, it includes thoughtfully considered layouts and custom coding where needed.
-
Custom Squarespace website design at Monroe Creative starts from £2,450. This includes strategy, a fully custom design built from scratch, copywriting support, SEO foundations and full training. If you're also looking to refresh your brand identity, the total transformation package combines both and offers better value overall.
-
Squarespace is the most flexible, beautifully designed platform for small to medium businesses - and as a Squarespace Circle member, I'm always working with the most current version of the platform. It's genuinely user-friendly once handed over, and Squarespace's 24/7 support means you're never stuck after launch. I've tried the alternatives and for the businesses I work with, Squarespace consistently delivers the best combination of design quality, functionality and ease of management.
-
You'll need a complete brand identity in place (logo, colour palette, typography and creative direction), final proofread copy for every page and all photography and imagery. I'll give you clear guidance on exactly what's needed and when throughout the process, and I can recommend brilliant copywriters and photographers from my extended network if you need support.
-
Every website client receives my complimentary copywriting guide, developed from years of working at the intersection of SEO, user experience and conversion. It covers how to structure your pages, write for your ideal client and weave in keywords naturally. For a lot of founders, it's everything they need. If you're considering working with a professional copywriter alongside your project, I'm happy to make introductions to specialists in my network.
-
Yes - SEO is built into every website project. I'll support your SEO strategy and implement on-site SEO foundations from day one, so your website has what it needs to rank and grow in visibility over time. For more advanced SEO work, I'd always recommend working alongside a dedicated SEO specialist or SEO web copywriter.

A template website is built on a pre-made framework - it can look good, but it's limited by a structure someone else created for a completely different business. A custom website is built entirely around you: your brand, your audience, your goals and your growth. Every layout decision and every call to action is intentional. For founders at a certain stage of business, the difference between a template and a custom site is often the difference between a website that exists and one that genuinely works.
-
Absolutely. Having built and run two successful e-commerce brands of my own, I understand what an effective online shop needs to do beyond just look good. I build optimised e-commerce websites with seamless customer experiences on Squarespace. Get in touch to discuss your project.
-
I build fully custom websites from scratch rather than redesigning existing ones. This ensures everything is cohesive, intentional and built around where your business is now, not around an old structure. If you have an existing site, I'll look at it as part of our strategy conversation.
The process
-
Every project follows the same considered structure: a deep discovery and vision call, brand strategy and creative direction, initial design concepts, a collaborative refinement stage and finalisation and delivery. Website projects add a build, training and launch phase. The full brand and website experience takes around 10 weeks. You can explore the full process in detail on the process page.
-
It's a free, no-obligation conversation - usually around 30 to 60 minutes - where we explore your business, your goals and what you're looking for from a brand or website project. It's a chance for us both to figure out whether working together is the right fit. There's never any hard sell and no pressure to proceed (that’s not my style!)
-
Very! Every decision is explained, every milestone is mapped out and nothing moves forward without your input and approval. My clients regularly tell me the process felt surprisingly enjoyable - that it was one of the best parts of the whole experience. I take that as the highest compliment!
-
For website projects, you'll receive full training and two weeks of post-launch support. After that I'm available at an hourly rate for any updates or maintenance, and existing Monroe Creative clients can book design days for more focused blocks of creative work. For brand projects, you'll receive all final files with clear guidance on how to use them, plus your brand guidelines to keep everything consistent going forward.
Investment and payment
-
Yes. I know a brand or website project is a significant investment and I offer flexible payment plans to make it feel more manageable. For most projects, an initial deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking, with a midway payment and the remaining balance due upon completion. Alternative arrangements are available - get in touch to discuss.
-
In short: yes. A strong brand attracts better clients, supports higher pricing and reduces the time you spend explaining your value. One of my clients described it as "one of the most worthwhile investments I have ever made in my business" - and the shift in the quality of enquiries she received after her rebrand was immediate and significant.
That said, it's a considered investment and the right time will be different for every business. The Consultation is a good place to start if you're not sure whether now is the right moment.
-
The total transformation package combines custom brand design and custom website design into one cohesive project, built together from the ground up by one designer with one creative vision. It starts from £4,100, representing a saving of £300 compared to booking both separately. It's the most complete brand and website experience I offer, and the results are more cohesive and powerful than when each element is built separately.
Semi-custom brand kits
-
A semi-custom brand kit is a professionally designed brand identity that starts from a considered base design and is customised with your business name, details and colour palette. It's a way to get a polished, professional brand identity quickly and at a more accessible investment than a fully custom project (without resorting to generic Canva templates!)
-
Each semi-custom brand kit is £475. This includes customisation, all final files in every format for print and digital use and a mini brand style guide.
-
A custom brand identity is built entirely from scratch around your specific strategy, audience and vision - it's completely unique to you. A brand kit starts from a professionally designed base and is personalised to your business. Both are designed by the same designer with the same expertise, but a kit is faster, more accessible in investment and best suited to founders who are starting out or building toward a fully custom identity. Every kit is sold a maximum of three times to maintain exclusivity.
-
You'll receive your initial design proof within one week of completing your brand questionnaire.
-
Absolutely. Many clients start with a brand kit and return for a fully custom brand identity when the time is right. Your kit gives you a strong, professional foundation to start from and grow into.
